As we enter the latter half of August, K-12 teachers begin thinking about tasks and activities that need to be prepared for the upcoming school year. Many focus on finding classroom management strategies and innovative activities and resources that they can use to engage students. To help such educators, I have identified the following series of online resources, which I trust they will find helpful in planning a successful new school year:
Expect the best,
plan for the worst,
and prepare to be surprised.
- The Cornerstone – Classroom Management That Makes Teaching More Effective, Efficient, and Enjoyable
- Singing the Narrative: Pop Music in the Classroom (Grades 8-12)
As you start a new school year, remember Denis Watley’s words of wisdom … “Expect the best, plan for the worst, and prepare to be surprised.”
Take care and keep smiling 🙂
